I can't say I've been to that many bad looking stadiums...
I'll tell you about the good ones, though!
I absolutely LOVE Fenway Park. The historic value it holds is so phenominal. Just watching a game from a seat in the Green Monster is unbelievable. The first few times I went there, it almost took my breath away it was so great. I'm also a huge Red Sox fan, so every time I see my favorite team play a home game, it makes me pretty happy to know I'm in one of the oldest baseball stadiums in the US. Fenway Park means a lot to me, that's why I have it as my avatar.
Wrigley Field is also a wonderful historic field with the ivy so neatly trimmed on the walls. I think that it, too is beautiful, though I've only been able to go to it about 2 times.
I've been to the old Busch Stadium and I absolutely loved it. When you're rooting for the Cardinals there, it feels like your a part of this huge family. Cardinal fans stay Cardinal fans for life...when you're rooting for their Cardinals, you feel like you have an instant connection. Though I'm a Red Sox fan, I'm closer to St. Louis (location-wise) and go to a Cardinals game whenever I can. The atmosphere in Busch is amazing and for that I love it. I hope I'll get to go to the new one sometime soon!
I've also been to Coors & Dodger Stadium. They were nice, but nothing extremely special to me. Of course, Rockies and Dodger fans would say differently, but that's just my opinion! I think your favorite field will always be where your favorite team is playing a home game. For me, its Fenway Park. For you, it could be something entirely different.

I agree with you, I think it is pretty unfair the MLB All-Star game determines home-field advantage for the World Series. For nearly a decade, the AL has won the All-Star Game, which irritates me because I am a Pirates fan and I always root for the National League. I feel the home-field advantage should be decided like it is in the NHL and NBA, where it goes to the team with the best record or the highest seed in the playoffs. Or at the very least, they should alternate as to which league gets the home-field advantage every year. I think that would be a little more fair than how they have it now. I don't understand Bud Selig and why he decided to do this. The All-Star Game is an exhibition game, the player's stats for the game don't carry over year after year and it's one game!! It's not like it's a 3 or 5 game series!! Give me a break MLB!!!

I've been to 17 current major league parks and about 5 that no longer exist. Its hard to pick the best cause they all have different reasons why you like them. My favorites are Petco, Dodger Stadium, Old Busch Stadium, Wrigley Field, Kauffman Stadium, Camden Yards and Coors Field. The ones I wasn't crazy about were Fenway (didn't like the park, but loved the neighborhood and atmosphere around it), Anaheim (too much Disney crap), Turner Field (too many rules and unfriendly ushers), RFK (it was a dump only worse stadium I've ever been to was Olympic Stadium in Montreal), Comiskey (was in a bad part of town and all the fans were drunk and had no class).

I like PNC Park in Pittsburgh and Jacobs Field in Cleveland along with the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis. I do not care for the park in San Francisco or the one in Houston.

I like Camden Yards in Baltimore, Wrigley Field in Chicago, SBC Park in San Francisco, and Fenway Park in Boston. Worst was the old Astrodome in Houston.
(Note:These are only parks I've been to in person. I don't want to rate one just by how it looks on TV)

Citizens Bank BallPark in Philadelphia. Love everything about it. Especially how close you are to the visiting teams bullpen. Nothing like getting into a player before he comes in the game.

The first time I walked into Wrigley Field stadium, the spacious beauty trimmed in ivy took my breath away. TV doesn't do it justice. Add it's history, and it is easily the most beautiful of them all!
