Sometimes I just can't cheer myself up and then I have to wait it out. Other times, I take a bath, or find something stupid to look at on the Internet. The usual - retail therapy, chocolate, phone call - don't seem to work for me. Unless the phone call is long distance, that sometimes makes a difference.

When I am down, I just think about all the people throughout the world who are bedfast, including my sweet little mom who is 93. I am so happy to be able to walk around and talk and joke and play and drive, etc.. I just snap right out of it and DO Something! We are not promised tomorrow, so better do while we can.

I eat a lot of onion rings. They have a dramatic effect on my digestive system.

Then I go down town and release the results in the elevators at the most expensive store in the city.

I either go shopping (which doesn't really cheer me up, it just makes me occupied and broke) or I take a nap... that always helps me!

I stay busy or find something to do like paint or spend time with my dogs, and that seems to keep me happy most times.
