On my calender it says it's on 11/11 which is on Sunday and I don't work Sunday's . why would you have Monday off if it lands on the weekend on Sunday.

nope, too bad, but it's not suppossed to be thought of as a holiday, anyway...it's a day of remembrance, which is why we Canadians call it Remembrance Day.
