If you mean "the night before the big game" - sexual relations have no measurable impact on performance. Staying up late to engage in that behavior will have an impact on performance. [also not a function of gender, applies to both]
Many years ago there was a widely held belief that such behavior would negatively impact athletic performance, this has been found to be untrue. A good nights sleep the night before is essential to maximum performance though and intimate activity often precludes an early bedtime.
