let's say, ur company organized a competition for people to make a certain design. And one of the competitors submitted a design that's not his ( let's say he searched the internet and found something and then modified it) Should the judges dismiss him from the competition or what??

My opinion is that they shouldn't coz the awards you'll receive is based on designs not on people consciences am i right?

If it's the companies own competition then they make their own rules.

If the company starts making the design, though, then the actual inventor may VERY likely have a case against them for patent or copyright infringement.

I think what it would be called is 'plagerism'. Using anothers ideas as ones own. Or perhaps copy write infringment.

I guess for me the point would be to come up with your own design.
