If so would it be because of him or in spite of him?

No and I will tell you why. First of all he can't play under pressure, and not only in post season, but during the year as well. He is not a clutch player, he never comes through when you need him. As great as his numbers are on paper, when you you look deeper into his stats and keep track what the scores were when he gets a home run or an RBI, you realise he realy isn't that good, in fact he stinks. With all his homeruns and RBI's, if you deleted them from the games he hit them in, it wouldn't change the outcome of the game either way. Those games that were won when he hit home runs in and RBI's, they would have still won if you took his production out of the game, so he really didn't contribute to that game.

Even if he was the greatest player ever, which he will never be nor is he even the best player today, but for the sake of argument, say he never makes an error and when he is at bat every time its a home run, his team will still not win a WS. He causes too many problems with the rest of the team. All will resent how much more he makes than everyone else, he causes animosity in the club house, it's just not a good situation for any team that gets him.

The only team that can actually afford him, the NY Yankees, doesn't want him and nor do the Yankees fans. It makes no sence for the Red Sox to even bid on him, from a business point of view, because they maxed out what they can earn in revenue, so why increase your expenses $30 million a year when you won't increase your revenue at all. As for the other teams, the only way they can afford him, is to give up the other good talent they already have to try to offset his salary, which overall makes the team weaker. So I see him as a hinderance to any team he plays for.

No doubt he would help whoever he goes to despite what he would do in the post season. Most contenders would likely win in spite of him.

My contention, is does he or doesn't he deserve that championship ring. Personally I'd rather see Bonds get a ring before A-Rod.

I dont like him and I think in his world it is all about him and his accomlplishments. If you think like that, you are not really a team player so you are not helping the team win. If he is on a team that goes all the way, it will be despite the fact he is there at all!

Yes, a team that has solid pitching and defense all of which the yankees haven't had in years. It's not all on Alex, that why it's a team sport. pitching and defense wins. Also, without him this year the yankees couldn't have sniffed the playoffs

If he goes to Boston, sure. The Sox won it this year without him...and he was on the team fighting for the division against them. It won't be because of him but it won't be in spite of him either. He's the best player in baseball. He'd make any team better.

I believe someday that a team Alex Rodriguez plays for will win but will the cost be worth it when it is all said and done?

Yes. He is bound too no matter how much he doesnt preform in the postseason. A team that signs him will be a rich them and if a team is rich obviously they have good players + A-Rod.

No. Alex Rodriguez is going to break the homerun checklist by employing the tip of his occupation. He can hit 30 homeruns for the the remainder of his occupation and he will weigh down the checklist. I dont think of that Longoria ( nonetheless youthful ) would be seen greater valuable then between the wonderful gamers interior the sport. Arod has had an magnificent previous, you cant evaluate the two till Longoria has performed some greater seasons.
