I am against environmentalists so much I throw away bottles and paper in the garbage. That way, I get to support the truck companies that ship the waste to the landfill and avoid the city-run recyling truck which was funded by tax money.

We dont. We value all forms of life equally, because we came from the earth and the animals, and we will go back to the earth and the animals. Atoms are rearranged; the atoms in you were once a part of every single type of species on this planet. Humans often forget that we are animals as well, only we have the capacity for language. Anyone can see that animals have feelings, otherwise if you hit them, they wouldn't yelp. Animals have personalities as well, and environmentalists believe that all life is important. We value everything equally.

Ah, Grasshopper...to get the right answer you must ask the right question. This isn't a question of what has MORE value, but what IS valuable. To protect nature in all of its forms does not have to compete with human needs. So the right question to ask is....what, in this the early part of of the 21st century IS a human need. If you'd open a discussion on that subject then you'd find that all critters great and small, including humans, can have every need fulfilled without damage to any eco-system.

I'm not too sure I would put it quite that way. Many people want to defend the environment, not just Dems and wackos. I have worked as an environmental professional for over twenty-six years now and I don't put bowie-fish and snail darters and titsee-fly bushes above human life. We need to strike a balance between human needs and the natural environment. Most Dems that preach the enviro-wacko line are just pandering for votes. Look what that wack-job Al Gore is doing with natural climate change!
(And I don't call myself "Enviroman" for nothing! I really do, in fact, do this for a living!)

Ecoterrorists tend to be emotionally motivated single issue voters. It sure sounds righteous to defend the poor baby seals, but every baby human is a "choice" for the so called "mother". I think that is fairly obtuse logic. Before you get too bent out of shape, I am a serious conservationist.
To all you paint-chucking, fur-hating, whaling-ship-ramming ecoterrorists out there, tomorrow is opening day in Missouri. I intend to put at least three deer in my freezer. If I am able to shoot more of those crop-stealing, antlered rats, I will. Then I will donate the meat to Share The Harvest, and homeless people will be fed by my hunting prowess.

Valuing animals above corporate profits is not the same as valuing them above human life.
