We are dependent on others for good reason........Start thinking.......

There is enough oil to last America for decades just off the West Coast and off the shores of the Gulf Of Mexico without having to import a single drop of oil. The problem is there are laws that block drilling in those areas. In the last few years, liberals sued to block drilling in some of those areas.
There is also nearly a trillion barrels of oil locked in shale rock in the Rockies. China, Brazil, and other countries have been successful in extracting oil from shale. Dutch researchers from Shell Oil are currently working in America on a new process for shale oil extraction.

It's not a liberal plot. It's a national defense strategy that goes back to Eisenhower, I believe. The idea is to exhaust the rest of the world's oil reserves before exhausting our own.

I think Wal-Mart should be allowed to drill for oil in western china using cheap labour and start selling oil. It'll be good and cheap.

It doesn't suit their agenda.
I believe that anyone who is not willing to get and use their own countries oil should not be allowed to benefit from oil products or products benefiting from oil (as in transported)...there are a LOT of oil products too...Why are they willing to rape the resources of the rest of the world but not themselves?
