You are suggesting that farming/ranching in general is abusive. Perhaps we should stop the lions from eating zebras. No. It's no more abusive than any other form of agriculture.

I totally see where you are coming from with this question, I had a worm farm, I didn't want to go and dig worms from the garden for it so I thought I would get some off eBay that were being sold for fishing :( I used a few and set the rest free.....but mine just died :( I did everything right, well I tried to!
I think it is OK if you set up a farm for the kids and don't leave the worms in there too long, If is for you to keep as pets as mine was (OOPS) then don't bother! As the small tank that is sold seems too small and worms don't like the light so you have to keep it covered all day anyways!
I loved my ant farm my ants lived for ages! I miss mine now need more ants! hehe xx

sure you may feed them to fish. when I take my neice and nephew fishing we get various of the worms out of the compost heap and use them for bait. while you're merely getting began you may bypass to a save like Gander Mountain or Bass professional save and purchase a malicious software starter kit. they are low-priced and contain each and every thing you may desire to have your person little malicious software farm.
