My period is supposed to come any day now... I've gotten all my regular symptoms, cramping, breaking out a little bit, moody... I feel like it is going to happen any minute now. I took a pregnancy test last night and it came out positive! What happens if I got my period, like now? I wouldn't be pregnant than, right? I am only 18 years old and I am not ready for a baby.

Sorry honey, there are RARELY false positives. Go to your DR or planned parenthood and get a blood test to confirm what you have already found out.

If the test came out positive then you are probably pregnant. Take another test just in case it is a false positive. Did the line appear right away or did it take a while, because if you get a "positive" after 10 minutes it might be an evaporation line. Dont panic though, it wont help anything. Go to your doctor or a nearby planned parenthood for a blood test and more information.

Well hun don't stress about it, I know its easier said then done but i just turned 19 when i got pregnant with my son and i wasent really ready (Emotionally, or Physically) But i dealt with it and i had alot of support, I was so scared, But most likey if you have a positive pregnancy test then your most likely pregnant, Your symptoms your having are probley pregnancy symptoms and yes you can be pregnant and have your period, You can be pregnant and have your period the whole time your pregnant sometimes i know alot of people that it has happened to, Sounds to me that you need to go to the doctors and see for sure for yourself but hun dont be scared having a baby is the most precious thing you can have, When you first see it little heart beat going a mile a minute the only thing you'll ever think about is waiting for it to come out so you can hold him/her, Plus im sure your family and friends and your boyfriend will support you and if you decide you cant raise the baby then there is plenty of agencys out here that provide babys to other familys that cant have kids but you'll know whats best for yourself, I hope everything goes well and congrats if you are pregnant!

If you took a pregnancy test last night and it was positive then I'm afraid you are pregnant. You might get a false negative result, but false positives are very rare. Lots of women have similar symptoms right before their period as they do when they first become pregnant. You need to make an appointment with a doctor. Talk to your mom, you will need her help to make the decisions you are going to have to make now.

sorry to inform you but a positive is a positive. You can test up to a week before your period is supposed to come and get a true positive. The only way to 100 % sure it to go to a doctor and have a blood test done. And as far as not being ready to be a parent youshould have thought about it before you had unprotected sex. Which i am assuming because you didn't mention being raped , condom breaking, or any other form of birth control that had been used.

You can still get your period even if you are pregnant.

Your store bought test could have been a false positive as well. I'd suggest going to your OB/Gyn and getting a real test in about 2 weeks to know for sure.

At that time you'll find out a definite answer and you'll be able to discuss options with your Doctor.

I'm not going to impress my morals on you, but instead, let you know that only you know what you are ready to take on and you shouldn't feel pressured by anyone in any case scenario. Its your life that will be affected by it, and no one else will have to face what you might if you are pregnant.

Good luck, let me know how it turns out!

If you had a positive pregnancy test, then you are pregnant. If you started your period now, it would be a miscarriage. I suggest that you go to your doctor, and find an older adult woman to talk to about this. If you are not ready for a baby, then you shouldn't be having sex. If you feel you can't keep the child, go to someone you can trust and talk to them about the adoption options in your area. Whatever you choose to do, best of luck to you and your baby.

It's seems you are pregnant, the tests are usually very accurate. I had some bleeding during one of my pregnancies,so even if you do have what appears to be a 'period' it doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. Go see a Doctor to confirm it and then you can make a decision on what you want to do. Time is of the essence- so sort it out asap! Good luck with what you decide.

If you took a pregnancy test and it came back positive then you are probably pregnant, it is very rare to get a false positive. If you started your period that doesnt mean you arent pregnant, lots of people have their periods the first couple months of pregnancy. Maybe you should start using protection if you arent ready to have a baby/

If you get your period, then you are not pregnant, however a positive pregnancy test is almost never wrong. You should go get a blood test done if your period does not arrive in a week or so, just to be sure.

i'm so sorry honey, really I am, but if the test said that you're pregnant, you probably are. a lot of women get their periods when they are pregnant. it's very common and usually not even a big deal. if you want to be sure though, schedule an appointment with a gynecologist in your area. in general, they just use EPT tests to check if your pregnant when it's very early, but it might make you feel better. also, get yourself some pregnancy counseling, planned parenthood or your gyno can help. Good luck, you have my thoughts and prayers
