Grab a weapon, my family, and make my way to the nearest military base or secure facility. I would call my extended family and tell them to do the same (if possible). Then I would go to work treating injured people.

I've been hearing about these types of invasions/attacks in 55 years, they never come to pass. The continental U.S. is too vast for such a plan - thus the targets, when it did happen are the most prominent (Trade Center, Pentagon).
What we really need to do is stop electing presidents (like the present one) who antagonize & take actions against other countries without provocation. Within that context, these wars create new and angrier terrorists in doing so (those kids who will survive the bloodshed in Iraq will grow up NOT liking the U.S. of A. They have nothing but time to plan their next moves).
If we are atacked again, it will most likely be in the form of a nuclear bomb sent by North Korea. Watch "Inside North Korea", a documentary put out last year, then tremble in your boots, because the only thing that we could do in that event is kiss our butts goodbye.

sounds all too familiar. i was living in Zaire when the war in the Gulf started. It affected Zaire as well, as this country's military was at war with itself. Imagine, 8 years old waking up to cannon balls going off in your own back yard. Being evacuated in the midst of it all. You and your family stopped at a check point in town and held at gunpoint. Any sudden movements and your dead. Needless to say we got out of there safe and alive. Fortunately the Zairean government wasn't after Americans.
So if I woke up one morning and all hell was breaking loose on my streets; I'd do what any human instinctive person would do. Pack everything I could and leave. I'd go be with my family. What else could you do?

well i watched both planes hit the towers on t.v.i blew the first one off but the others started to freak me out and then the power went out ,no s**t! .
i calmed down somewhat called gevalia and told them my country is under attack and i am running out of coffee, put a rush on my next shipment .
now had events unfolded as you describe,i would simply take my rifles down off of the walls, gather my hand guns and verify that they were still loaded ,and wait for whatever dumb *** that tried to breach my property line.

Lots of people in my area are well armed. And I mean WELL armed. In a senario like that where trying to get away would be futile, I would refuse to go like a sheep. Take as many as we can with us. Gorilla warfare is the hardest to fight for an invading army.

Ok, I would get a gun, check the car has no bombs on it, drive really fast, hide! Seriously, I would probably arm myself with something and get to a safe location, either ways, I wouldn't go down without a fight!

I believe our economy is going to be attacked. I heard something about al qaeda and the mortgage industry. this would be a disaster for the country, its bad enough as it is. if another attack occurs, I am getting the hell out of dodge. I live in the hood and i know there is no major interest there.

That would be so scary. I don't even know what I would do or where I would hide because the shooters would be every where. So, I guess I would just hide the best I could and pray that I die fast and go to heaven.

That's a good question! If it were me, first I would try to stay calm. Second, I would find out where all the members of my family are. If one of them wasn't in the house, I would tell them to get inside the closest building and stay hidden. Then I would stay out of sight and try to stay as quiet as possible. It could be extremely scary if something like this happened, but the key would be to stay calm.
