I understand where you are coming from, just remember that many of these things have been happening for years and years and years... but now that we are in the information age you hear about ALL of it, it is overwhelming..
there have always been murders and gangs and bad neighborhoods, you just hear about all of them now...

Here's the deal you can't change the time you live in.. so you need to be part of the solution not paert of the problem, there are millions of good people out there, surround yourself wwith these types of people and your children (if you choose to have them) will grow up and be a better person for it..

Also, the news doesn't help, negative news gets ratings positive news doesn't, so unfortunately i stopped watching the news..

Good Luck

The world is both a terrible and a beautiful place. I have 7 kids and I wouldn't change it for anything. We haven't always lived in the best places or under the best circumstances.

Bad times can be hard, but they can also be a chance to teach. The world needs more love, right? So we take the kids to help clean up the park, make sandwiches for hungry people, and we help wrap presents for the kids at the children's home. We teach the kids tolerance, respect, and charity.

We worry and cry over them, but that's what parents do. Maybe you and your family can be part of the solution?

Time to move to Glendale or Brookfield..not too bad by me on the north west side...60th and Capitol but we have a good block watch program. That is very important to get as many neighbors together as you can and keep reporting bad or suspicious behavior. Cops can only do so much without community involvement.
