I'm 16 and leaving My school this year to go to college. Thank God =] I hate School The only thing people judge you on are the clubs you go to , who your friends are and what you wear or look like. Im not an emo or anything,Im jsut normal But this really annoys me. I'd dress quite fashionably, and i go to bars etc, . Everything that the ''popular'' crew are. But becasue we dont hang about with them, we dont get anything! They get the boys, all the respect, they organise everything etc and they just expect you to worship them and if you stand up to them you get hated by all the shallow wannabes! Please Tell me this changes when you go to college?!

Oh yes! I hated it, wait until you go to college! It is so fun, the hotties try to approach you (unlike the idiots in Mid. and Highschool)...There is so much you can do! And you are bound to find your OWN friends that you can actual RELATE to!!! Yes, it does change, but you have to really get out there, go to parties, join clubs YOU love...COLLEGE IS FUN!!! It can be too fun sometimes, just make sure you are on top of your studies!!!
: D

ifancyyo. I would hate to be at school in this day and age. I know I cannot answer your Q because I am too old and your circumstances don't relate to me. I hated school (over 46 years ago when I was 16) we didn't have bullying, thank God, but I felt like an outcast because I was overweight. I had 3 close friends but they always got the boys and I didn't.
All I can say is be your own person, rise above the so called "popular crew" You don't need them because they are low life and you are special. You know it already because you are questioning it. Good luck with your college life.

OMG, I totally hated high school. I often scoffed at those that termed it as "the best years of your life". I guess ppl think that when they're with the 'in crowd'. I did--and still do--celebrate my individuality and eccentricities. So because of that and my un-willingness to conform to the prevalent, typical norms of teens, I was an outcast and was frequently hated by the popular crew(s).
That all changed when I went to college, though. I was still a bit of anomaly, but it was okay b/c I found a few ppl like me and some ppl marveled at my behavior and encouraged me. (I knew that some of them did this to get a laugh, but the joke was on them b/c I'd already had enough practice of being 'different' to not let their conformism cause me to lose sleep at night).

I don't know the size of the university you're attending, but mine was small so there were alot of those "popular" crew ppl hangin' around and TRYING to still control things...however, there are opportunities in college to create groups/organizations for ppl w/ similar interests as yours...so you don't have to worry about the soros, frats, geeks, dorks, etc., having ALL the fun.

Just get out there and join the action. A Creative Society existed at my university and this was ideal for me b/c of my artsy side, my love of writing, and the fact that it was composed of many different and interesting ppl. Additionally, I (a certified weirdo) was chosen as Homecoming Queen my senior year, highlighted in articles via the campus newspaper, and was well-known by a lot of ppl there. So don't give a fig about those ppl b/c high school will truly be the highlight of their lives...you go on & have a blast a college & rub it in their faces at the school reunion(s), k?

I hated most of the schools I went to and I went to 16 different ones as it was during the war and I moved about a bit. I left with one O level in maths and that was only because the maths teacher said I was not ready to take the exam a year ahead of the rest of the class so I went to London University examination board paid my money and passed the exam. I then had the pleasure of telling him that I was not coming to maths class any more because I had passed. After I left I realised I needed qualifications so I took a Diploma in Management Studies and then an Honours Degree in Law and enjoyed them both. I was always baffled by the kids who said they were bored with in the summer holidays. I was never bored I always had something interesting to do

I hated high school. I LOVE college! Things are MUCH better once you get to college, so long as you make an effort to make everything better. You need to get out there and meet people, join groups, ect. Don't be a wallflower. And people aren't as judgemental as they are in high school. Sure, there are some people who are, but those are generally outweighed by cool people.

I hated school too. That stuff doesn't really go away just because you're going on to higher learning - there are stupid and judgemental people in every age group.
The best thing to do is not worry about it. Whether or not you're popular in school doesn't have any impact on the grand scheme of things. Don't let it bother you.

Well, I've just started college and I think it's much better than school was, but not necessarily with the people, it's the fact you have seriously chosen what you're doing, but the people are much better than school tbh.
