Before scissors were invented, how did people clip their toenails, fngernails, bear and hair? Wouldn't all these grow to unbearable lengths? Especially the fingernails, wouldn't it be hard to grab anything without trimming them on a daily basis?

Using other sharp objects like a rock or a knife for a persons hair. As far as toenails and finger nails are concerned, they probably bit them off, or filed them down on a rock. Some peoples nails break easy.

I have often wondered that myself.

I guess they could bite or tear off their fingernails and toenails, but the hair??? I just looked up Cavemen on Wikipedia and man they were just one big bundle of hair.
