if there is an afterlife, it is another dimension we have not witnessed.
if our universe is expanding in all directions, is it pressing against something else and if it is, what is that substance?
Did the explosion of the big bang that created our universe create alternate universes or dimensions from the after shock?
Was god created by our creation? When did he have consciousness? How did he evolve?

Apart from string theory which at present sets out eleven dimensions of matter, looking at your question from a metaphysical point of view, we live on a three dimensional physical planet which exists in a many dimensional universe.
At a higher level, everything is inter-connected, and the access to those connections requires our sixth sense, our extrasensory perception.
In the psychic realm, many of the rules are reversed :- physical dimensions of time and distance become the illusions, but mind, spirit, soul and awareness of being become the realities; and real they are.

From a purely scientific standpoint, using Quantum Theory, Bell's Theorum and Chaos Math, Other Dimensions are not just possible, but likely.

I believe that we are etherical beings living in the 3rd dimension as this is on of our learning places..
We live in a multidimensional universe and we are part of all that is and was and what will ever be, we are immortal..
As the universe is infinite, so are the # of dimensions..

it depends on what you mean dimensions, they are theoretical dimension involved in string theory and all that, but if you mean dimensions like in sci-fi, there's nothing to disprove, you never known there could be another you in a parallel dimension asking the same question
