yes it is important that children have a routine, even as adults we need to keep a form of order, but life is there to be enjoyed,
children have every right to enjoy it too .so by giving your child some responsibility; and a bit of leeway at weekends and holidays when there is no school/ nursery, you will get a better responce on week nights when its early to bed.
I get a lot of love and understanding from my ten year old son because he reacts well to being treated as an adult, by being given some, responsibility about his bed time

When the kids were wee, they had set bedtimes. It's not my place to say, but it really irks me that most folk now adays let their kids stay up all hours. It's neither physically, nor mentally healthy. Kids need plenty of sleep when they are still growing. They also need plenty of sleep to do well in school.

I always let them stay up a bit later on weekends and holidays, but they still had a time to go then too. Bedtimes are not only healthy, but they teach responsiblilty and respect.

Yes, my ten yr. old is in bed by 8:30pm. every night during the week; for school. Fridays, and Saturdays are his day's to stay up late.

yes of course.they both go to bed at 10pm.telly off at 10.30 pm.ones 13 the others 14.

My 11yr old stepson has always had a bed time and is in bed for 9.15 everynight he has always been same from very young .

my 3 yr old goes to bed at 6pm every night, been doing this since he was 4 months old

They go when they're ready, I ask them, but it's usually about 8 pm. I watch out for them getting tired.

i like for them to be in bed by 8:30pm,hopefully asleep within 30min or so.they read..cheers
