A couple of good on-line sites that I have bought gear from include Musician's Friend, Sam Ashe, and American Musical Supply:

Now, those guys are retailers, dealing primarily in new gear. You are NOT going to find a new Gibson Les Paul for $150 anywhere. Most are well over $1,000.. I see Musician's Friend has at least one at around $800.

You can find Epiphones for as little as $200, new, if you really like the Les Paul feel, but don't have that much to spend.

The other thing is to shop for a used axe. There's Craig's List, eBay, and your local classified. Also, find your local music shops... many of these folks buy and sell used gear... I know Sam Ashe retail stores do, too. That could take some time, but you could spend the time while you're earning checking out the various used resources. Also check out the Clearance sections of the on-line retailers... these guys have open box, scratch & dent, and discontinued gear from time to time, often at a great discount.

Well I personally don't know much about the baldwin, im a bassist and know more about basses. I know you won't get les paul however for 150. I personally don't like buying anything online. I don't trust it unless i can play it and get my hands on it before I buy. I'd save up a bit more than 150 and go to a nearby music shop.

Craig's list... people buy and sell all sorts of used musical equipment for fairly cheap on ther all the time. I suggest posting what you are looking for on there and you should get responses.
