A religious fundamentalist launching a nuclear weapon while muttering something about it being "god's will" as he kills us all.

Well. In MY opinion, the United States of America is the biggest threat to our world. They basically live for war. If there is no war for them, they find a reason to go to war.
The Americans will probably cause the Third World War, if not a nuclear holocaust, polluting our world beyond recovery. In short, the Americans are the end of the world.
PS. Anybody who downvotes this post for having an opinion can do as they wish. They just prove that people cannot appreciate the OPINION of others.

God has something like this planned but I don't worry about it because Jesus said that the last days would be like the days of Noah where people who believe in God are treated as fools. Noah and his family were "lifted up" by the Ark and protected from the brunt of the pain of the judgment of the worldwide flood. The fall of the twin towers is like God turned his face from us for a millisecond. In the end - he removes His people and turns His face entirely. The removal of the Holy Spirit from the earth that currently stirs and sustains the conscience and restrains people from the depth of depravity that their soul is capable to conjure up. All of the things that we fear will take place then because without the prayers of Godly people and the sustenance of God Himself in the realm of nature as well - we're really in for trouble.

Every star eventually blows up, and the sun is a star. In millions of years, the sun will blow up, consequently, destroying the planet and killing us all. That is if we don't kill each other off in a global war, which I can see happening.

as of right now scientists are trying to stop an aestroid scheduled to hit earth in a couple hundred years that can possibly wipe us out.

Don't forget, the interior of the planet has been cooling since day 1, & then, look at mars! They know that mars used to have a magnetic field, much like our own.

well if global warming or degases wont wipe then probly the sun
will burn down and there would be no energy for anything (after 500 billion years of my asitmation)
