In the future, for such simple problems,
you could have just opened a "calculator" on your computer
(for most Windows-based computers,
just click the "Start" icon,
then click "Run",
then enter "calc",
then click "OK",
then enter whatever math you need;
in your case, either 2256 x .25
or 2256 / 4).

You could also have entered "2256 x .25" into Google,
because it has a nifty, built-in, calculator function
that knows you want to do a simple math equation.

Of course, if you didn't know that "25 percent" meant "one-fourth", and didn't know how to "translate" that to a mathematical equation usable on a calculator, then you need to spend less time on this website, and pay more attention in the classroom! ;)

$564. 25% is the same as one fourth of something. You can divide by 4 or multiply by .25.
