I bring home 56% of my gross pay, but I put 20% into my 401(k), and I have extra federal withholding taken out to cover my earnings on investments and savings.

Are you asking me personally? There are far too many variables for me to answer this question.

Personally, I take home about 70% of gross pay. I pay for medical, dental, taxes and an 8% 401(k) contribution.

You bring home what ever is left.

You didn't provide enough information to give you a good answer. All of these things are variable.
