We have not lost our primitive instinct that prompts us to pick someone above us to worship and admire.......examples are like picking a Queen or King of England, King of Saudi Arabia. We create a hero and make them rich whilst we suffer. This is no different from creating celebrities.

Celebrities........
Yeah they are rich and live in posh mansions. But are they happy????
Think about it. Would you want to be followed around 24/7?
Judged harshly for everything you say, do, wear, go, buy?
(or didn't say, do, wear, go or buy?)
Did you ever wonder why so many celebrities have drug and alcohol problems?
Does money and/or fame really solve all of a persons problems?
The trouble with being human is we usually want what is completely wrong for us. So no, I don't feel as if I'd want that kind of life. Nor do I slavishly devote money to support celebrity's lifestyles.

i don't feel bad if i buy a cd or go to the movies if it is something that i am interested in.i dont mind that i eat at burger joints or live in normal house.what i feel bad about is somebody like britney spears who had so much and lost control of her life and how we the public who put her there(NOT ME CANT STAND HER) has to hear about her lowlife everyday.just goes to show you that money cant buy everything.sure it helps but i'd rather work for what i have,i appreciate more and it makes me a better person.

With thinking like you do...you will always be where you are. Quit thinking about other people...get out there and make something of yourself. I can see that you can read and write...that's 2 things that are in your favor. Get a job...find a girlfriend and learn how to talk with real people. Quit that stupid language that you are trying to use. This is 2007...we don't say "whilst".

I agree. It makes it worse when you see that alot of the biggest earners (Madonna, Britney) completely suck at what they do.
Madonna cant even sing, she has just been expertly marketed
For every Robert DeNiro, there are 10 Ben Afflecks, and thats why there are so many crappy movies

No, and you shouldn't, either. You are the one who chooses what to do with your money, and how to spend it. If you've chosen to spend it on 'an hours' entertainment', then you've gotten what you paid for. It's just the way the system works.

No, I choose to spend my money and time as I see appropriate.
I would feel stupid if I linked my own self-worth and self-value to their lives. Thats stupid.

If you think movies/music/whatever are too expensive, then don't buy them. But don't buy them then whine about it. That's really annoying.
