Why do we have a government that takes away our freedoms each day and acts more like a communist dictatorship and we let them get away with it, next thing they will be telling us what rubbish to put out

As often Sarky missed the point of the question. They are already telling us what rubbish to put out . How to put it out and when. Now they want to charge more for different types of rubbish and the quantity. So you are right in your assumption. The point is New Labour is a dictatorship and wants to relieve us of our individual freedom. We will pay heavy for allowing them 12 years in power. One thing if you want to go to University in Britain today you will pay. However if you are an immigrant or the child of one in Scotland us in England pay. No question that is what the government say. I do not remember that in their manifesto.

I must say i agree with Billy M.Labour has done a good job since 1997 before that the UK was in total turmoil with unemployment and high interest rates.No other opposition could have done a better job especially given the difficult times since 2001.We do still live in a democracy so be thankful you have that!
