Rifle for hunting, handgun for hunting & safety. But the big dogs are mostly used for home protection. The handgun is a last resort. I hope to never have to use it, but if it comes down to it, I will.

I own several guns. This includes 7 .22 long rifles, one that was manufactured in 1888. I also have a Glock 9mm and a Smith and Wesson .45. The rifles were inherited, but I bought the other two. The guns are for protection, but I live in CA, where gun laws are very strict.

No. I live in England and it is illegal there. Guns are for war, and I do not believe anyone (as in the general public) should have one personally. I can understand some may have them for protection, but personally I think the world is more dangerous when anyone can get hold of one, even if you, personally have one. Many people (Mainly teenagers) carry knives in Britain, and it is usually said to be "for protection". However their have been many incidences when people have had their own knife used against them in an attach. People have died because of their method of protection. The same can happen with guns. I have/carry neither and don't intend to.

No. Won't touch them. I live by the concept, if nobody else has one, why would I need one. Meaning I'm against civilians owning any sort of fire arm.

When I left the military, I promised myself I would never again touch anything designed to take a life.
