Why are folders in my library (along the left hand side of the screen) sometimes 'highlighted' ?? What does that mean ??
Also, why do some folders have a "save changes #" icon on them, when i have NOT done anything to those particular folders.
I suspected the highlighting mentioned above was a clue that there were changes to be saved.............but, that is not true.
They do no coincide. And when, i say o.k., save the changes, I have no idea what has happened.......I see no changes occurring. Help!!

Hi Gallopinto! Picasa is one of my favorite programs, but it's still full of mysteries!
When a folder in highlighted (in black, at least in my program) it means that it has new pictures, that is, that new pictures have been uploaded onto that folder.
The "save changes #" icon, that, I have never seen.
For example my Picasa assigns years to my folders, and even though I just uploaded photos (I have a new computer), there are photos that say 2001, 2003, etc.
But it's a great program that I just love, LOL.

Folders are highlited to show you which ones are ready to be edited...any time you click on a pic, Picasa assumes you are going to edit and "saves" an origional copy for you when you click on "save changes" (unlike some editing programs that "lose" your origional). When you go to where your pics are kept you will see an origional and a copy of origional...(hope this helps you....)
