Canada. It's nice, has four season, each as extreme as the other. It's liberal. Healthcare, gay-rights, very multicultural, safe - you don't have to put on the alarm or lock your door - really. Excellent publicly funded education, and social services. You get used to the cold. Winter is my favourite season, ahh, -30 degrees Celsius and heavy snow - that's a perfect day. You never get used to the Summer. It's like 40 degrees Celsuis (100 F) most summer days.

Difficult question because all countries are best in one way or another. For me, I am most fond of Italy but only a small section of it: I'd like to live and die in Fiesole, a town overlooking Florence. But I'm not ready for it yet (still taking Italian lessons).

Germany. I've been there a few times. The people are the friendliest, most accomodating people I've ever met, they have beautiful countryside, they have an excellent education system, they have brilliant recycling policies, and nice bread!

Switzerland! It's in the center of europe with a high level of education, medical care, and work. Since it's in the center of europe, it's fast and easy to travel to all other parts of the world.
