Probably causes lower rates of sex-related crimes. It is a safe way for sexual gratification - no STIs.
It is naive to say that it is the adult industry that causes some women to be looked at like pieces of meat - there would be perverted men to do that whether or not the adult industry existed.
If people don't like it they should move to some fascist dictatorship where all forms of free media are banned.

My friend was recently called to the school of her 10 year old daughter because of her behaviour.
She was acting out certain 'poses' that she had seen which can only be discribed as pornographic.
She claimed she saw them it on a film and my friend was horrified to what she might have seen.
I have 2 daughters aged 8 and 10 and although i have no problem with sex on tv, the internet, lap dancing clubs, etc i feel extremely protective of my children and see many day to day images that are inapropriate.
As you said, music videos even from main stream groups are very suggestive and i just don't feel comfortable with them seeing many of them.
Am i being too over protective?
I know there are children aged 12 who are having sex and it frightens me that my eldest is two years away from that.
I realise she will be taught about sex, she will come into contact with a certain amount through friends in the playground but i really don't want the artificial and crude world of porn to be her introduction to it.

The good side of it is that it's op0ening people's minds to the ideas of neqw and exciting sexual fantasies, making it less taboo for people to have a fetish, so some people can ultimately have a more fulfillong sex life.
However, this can also have a negative effect, as it could lead people to believe that normal, non-kinky, loving sex is "boring".
Also, exposing young children, or more worryingly, pre-teens, to it means theat they lose their innocence earlier, so to speak. More teenagers now want to bge a pole dancer than a surgeon. This is probably because they see such hugely successful (to their minds, anyway) people who make a living out of flaunting sex.

I think with sex more readily available, people are finding it harder to keep their sexual fantasies under control. This is why we have seen such an increase in rapes, child molestation cases, and teen pregnancy.
I even see cartoons with women having their breasts hanging out of their tops. CRAZY!

the adult industry causes men to have one arm that is significantly stronger and more muscular than the other. In conclusion, the adult industry is good for society because it encourages exercise.

In Beverly Hills it is now fashionable to have your butthole bleached. That came from porn.

it ensures that while it continues my daughters and their daughters will find it hard to be respected by a large number of the male population.
Also the sexualisation of young girls makes me ill. at 13 i was still in dungarees and i'm only in my 30s. now they have sexy written across the butt of their jeans at 7 and it's acceptable.
