i made an account with my moms credit card but she doesn't want me to charge anything on it, so i redeemed an itunes gift card i got for my bday. i entered the code on the back and now it's telling me that i'm about to "credit" my moms account. does that mean that she'll get charged or will it deduct it from my gift card--charging nothing from my mom?

It will NOT take anything from your mom's credit card! The iTunes card is a gift card, so once you pay for it at the store, you basically have $20 (or however much the card is, $5, $50, whatever) in your pocket to use. It won't go over into your mom's credit card unless you go over the limit. And at the top of the screen it keeps a running total of how much $$$ you have left on it.

Can I suggest something? My mom won't let me use her credit card either (obviously lol), so I went to Store > View my account > Edit Payment Info. Then I clicked on No Credit Card. That way you don't accidentally charge anything, because there's no credit card to charge it from!!! Then whenever your mom says "ok here's my card, you can have ten bucks" or something, just go back to that page and type in the info.
