I greet them...met boyfriend numbers 7 and 9 that way.

I always smile and say hi. I love people! I love to work with the public, I like being around other people- Im very social. I think passing on a smile to a stranger on the street is an awesome thing to do. make someones day- smile and say hello like u mean it!

Sometimes I smile, I never say hello, but most of the time I just pass them by.

I don't usually say hello to strangers on the street....but if I see someone I know, I will almost always smile and say hello....sometimes we stop and strike up a conversation.

I am an Englishman. If I smiled and said hello to strangers I would get locked up.

I smile, and say hello. I don't think there are any stranger's,
just people who act strange.

As to avoid being mistaken for a mental health patient, I pass them by. If it were the norm though, I would be happy to smile and say hello.
I live in Sweden. Uptight capital of the world.

I smile mostly, but do not usually say hello. Because I have well wonky eyes, people tend to smile back!
Our nearest town, Shrewsbury, is small and friendly - so smiling is common everywhere.

If I make eye contact I smile and say hi...otherwise I just pass them by.
