i have been trying to conceive for a year and am having periods approximately 2 months apart. i had hormone blood tests and the LH and progesterone levels were abnormal. i repeated the test last week so am waiting on my 2nd set of results. they were repeated as it was hard for my doctor to know when to take them due to my irregular long cycles. i also had to repeat my full blood count and thyroid as they were doubtfull.
i am going to be referred to hospital if my LH and progesterone levels are abnormal again.
i also get awful pains in my ovaries and am thinking this may be to do with it as the doctor mentioned possible cysts on ovaries. anyone had similar experience?? thanks x

I have a hormone imbalance going on but not with the hormones of progesterone and the Lutenizing hormone (LH). Based on what you are noticing with your periods it's also possible that you could have a hormone imbalance. You mentioned that they may have to refer you to someone at the hospital. Ask about seeing a hormone specialist for women called a Reproductive Endocrinologist. They are able to work with this situation especially for those that are having difficulty trying to conceive.
