Poor Anthony he will be scarred for life. Well I shot my neighbor's kids with a bb gun. They were ok and it quieted them down considerably. The parents were a bit peeved but I just sent them a friendly message something along the lines of swimming with the fishes. Good Luck

Do you live in an area where it is legal to have livestock? If so, you should realize some people will have animals that make noise at un-human hours. (One of our neighbors has a donkey that brays at all hours of the day and night.)
In order to live peaceably with these fellows, you will need to be the one who changes what you do since roosters will do what roosters will do. You can change the way you think about the roosters from "I hate the noise they make" to "It's good to hear the roosters are one duty." You could buy some ear plugs to drown out some of the noise. You could run white noise in your bedroom to drown out some of the noise. You could make a graph of the rooster's crowing and try to make predictions after a suitable trend of crowing appears. You could take side bets with the other neighbors. Closest neighbor wins the pool of money. You could take a sleeping pill. You could book a room at a hotel for the night and catch up on your sleep, hence putting you in a better mood with which to deal with the rooster another day. You could hire a sweet young hen to seduce the rooster all night long leaving him too tired to crow. You could arrange an all night party for the rooster and his friends - dinner, drinks, a show. When they get home they'll be too tired to get up early. You get the idea.

No it is not legal to shoot your neighbor's chickens. What you can do is file a complaint at the police department (if the chicken are really that disturbing, which they seem to be that since they are loud in the middle of the night). Gather other neighbors too who also are not pleased with the noise. Let the law know that you told your neighbor and yet doesnt care to do anything about it.

I hear you brother, but unfortunately, I don't think so.
You could "accidentally" shoot them "bird hunting"
I have chickens and we finally just got rid of the roosters because they were just so loud. Our neighbours could hear them 1/2 mile away. You're lucky, because your neighbour's roosters only crow till noon. Ours would crow at everything, from my Mom's tennis shoes, to her straw hat, to the dog, to cars coming up the driveway. Even then, they would just crow for the heck of it. I don't think there's anything you can do except complain. You should wait another few weeks though, maybe they'll settle down with winter coming. I'd assume that (since we disposed of the roosters before winter every time we got some) since the days will be shorter and colder they will be spending their energy keeping warm.
Good luck!

He ( the neighbor) first needs to give your valet, Anthony retribution and compensate for his feelings of anxiety about going out side . Ask your defiant neighbor to turn over the 5 iron to you.
Then, with all the golf balls you have collected (i.e. your previous question

You and Anthony both can have your own private put-put- golf course using boisterous roosters at each hole.
Par for the course , of course, not just putting around, send a powerful drive. Let 'em be made aware your teed

Your "valet" ???
Did you call the cops when Anthony was beaten?
Perhaps your town has a noise ordinance. Check it out.
You can't shoot the roosters. It's not their fault. They just do what comes naturally to them.
How about drowning out the crowing with a white noise machine?

There is a good chance that your neighbors by having the chickens are violating zoning laws, pertaining to livestock. Check with your local governments code enforcement officers. There are certain laws regarding the amount of property you must have as it pertains to the livestock you are allowed to have. There is a good chance that the chickens aren't even allowed legally.
Good luck, and fire Anthony for being a slacker.

If the rooster is armed at the time of your assault its considered "lawfulish!" Otherwise you might consider the outside chance that the five-iron is actually that of the Rooster and launch a pre-emptive strike well before dawn. The answer is YES either way.

No you can't shoot them. The neighbor will find out and you will go to jail. Check to see if there are any restrictions barring farm animals where you live. Try all legal means first, if that doesn't work crush up some rat poison and mix it with some grain and sprinkle it on the ground when your neighbor is gone or sleeping. However, your neighbor might just get new chickens. Good luck.

Don't shoot the rooster, instead call the police and call the Animal Humane Society to come out and let them handle the situation. Last thing you want is to be going to jail for animal cruelty.
