I think it depends on the number of children you would like to have as well.
28 seems like a good age, but you should also be aware that in many cases, pregnancy doesn't just happen. So, you have to account for some additional time, whenever you decide to get pregnant. I would say, it's better to have atleast the first kid before 30, if one plans to have more than one.

I thought the same thing 2 years ago - but the timing wasn't right. I'm now 28 and JUST started trying to conceive. I'm really excited about it now...before it was more b/c i was afraid to wait. Don't worry!! Enjoy being 26 :)

I had my 1st right after turning 19 (too young), 2nd at 25 (perfect) and *if* we have another I want to no later then 30..we're both about to be 28 in a few months. I think it's whatever is best for you..just no that the older you get the higher risks and chances of getting pregnant get slimmer...BUT you have plenty of years left to worry about any of that..

It all depends on the person. If you are emotionally ready in two years than its not too late. Are you worried you will not be able to conceive in two years?
Things happen everyday that affect the rest of our lives so there is no way to be 100% certain. All you can be sure of is that if you are not ready now ... than wait!

No not at all I'm 29 and will be just having my first baby. We want 3 kids so I'll probably be 34ish by the time we're done.

i have friends who have had children at age 38 - perfectly healthy. my aunt gave birth at 40- healthy too.
