I think that the whole 'eyes of the beholder' thing gets in the way here, because if you're in love with someone they're beautiful in your eyes regardless of how the rest of the world sees them. And yes, I've been in love with someone that I don't think many others would take a second look at, but to me he's beautiful.

yes, and I married her. The ironic thing is, I used to date girls only for thier physical attraction and thier personality. I had my "type" but I had failed relationship one after another. I was so down on myself after the last break up before I met wife, I started to think, perhaps there is a pattern here. Perhaps I was attracted to wrong "type" of girls. I'm glad I made the changed and started to look beyond the physical appearance and started to think in terms of: what are her values, would she make a good mother, daughter in law, sister in law, does she have good friends, is she trust worthy...
Just a piece of an advice, try to separate girls you'll date and a woman you will marry.

You know I think that the inside will make the outside start to appear desirable too after time. So you barely start to tell till they break up with you and you think man that ugly So and So.LOL

Definitely, love is not bound by physical attraction alone. You can drool over a really hot member of the opposite sex, but if they're a jerk then that is not love.

Not really, I dont mean to sound shallow because I dont think that I am, however I generally need to be attracted physically in order to really get to know that person, then I am attracted to their soul and personality.

I don't mind their appearance but I haven't meet the right one who I find is beautiful on the inside for he will be my wing man.

I have never been "in love" with someone who wasn't physically acttractive but i have bee attracted to someone like that.
To this day I can't explain why. I talk to him once in a while so it's not like i grew to like him since we rarely spend time together. He just has this pull on me. It's so weird lol
