Hi- I posted this about an hour ago in the wrong section...
My husband and I are trying to let pregnancy occur without stressing about it by charting my cycles (I just came off the pill a few months ago and my monthly cycles are nowhere near regular). My family has been talking a lot about the holidays and purchasing gifts for my nieces and nephews (what they would like, drawing names, etc). I have two sisters both with three children and I don't have children yet. I can't help but feel left out this year because I would love to share the spirit of the holidays with my child and family. I guess I feel blue this year because we aren't pregnant yet and would love to be. I thought maybe we could announce our pregnancy on the holidays but now that won't occur (we are planning to wait until I am a few months along before we tell). Is anyone else feeling similar or am I just hormonal?

This all must be very frustrating for you. Your feelings are perfectly normal and understandable. My advice to you is to throw yourself into the holidays. Go all out this year with gifts for all of those beautiful nieces and nephews. Host a huge dinner party, decorate the house, send out cards to everyone in your address book. Soon, you'll be so wrapped up in all the activity, you won't have time to feel blue about pregnancy, and sometimes just not thinking about it happening makes it happen.

Good luck to you, and have a lovely holiday season!

Yes, i am in the same boat. We 'll be visiting people this weekend, and it seems to us that they are planning to announce their pregnancy news this weekend. It was depressing, since I was hoping to be pregnant by this time. We've ben TTC 4 months now...

But, don't let that get you down. Enjoy the holiday season. Think of all the things you can do, and have fun. Baby dust to you.

I'm 100% with you, girl:(
I wanted to be preggers for xmas, but turns out I have to see a dr for infertility and the appointment is in january.
I will try not to think about it too much and enjoy chrismas and spoil my nephews instead.
What we can't change we must accept, I guess
Good luck, baby dust
