Little Miss Sunshine, Best In Show, A Mighty Wind, Pulp Fiction, The Royal Tenenbaums (a bit of warped romance there, though,) Gattaca, Yes, The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation...(though also sort of romantic.)

Completely depends what you are looking for, Anchorman or Napoleon Dynamite are great if you are looking for a comedy. The amityville horror / The hills have eyes if you want something scary. Final destination 3 if you want a bit of both. The lakehouse is pretty good if a bit slow in parts. Battle Royale if you want some japanese action. Most of those are 15/18, not sure how old you are.

It depends what you're into.
I like drama, thrillers and action. (ok, boys films) These are some of my favourites -
Fracture
United 93
Collateral
Casino Royale
The DaVinci Code
The Green Mile
I-Robot
Resident Evil
Hope that helps. Why not have a look at websites like Amazon or IMDB and see if there's anything on there you like?

Shrek the Third is really funny. You say no romance, but what kind of thing do you like?
