I have a big bookshelf in My bathroom, which I stock with a variety of books, from computer information, to self improvement, to occult and magic, to home repairs to cookbooks. and everything inbetween. My guests often laugh about it, but everyone seems to enjoy my "library", though they often stay in the bathroom for a long time. I have a small couch in there, and a nice big tub, and it is very roomy, there is a small woodstove in there I keep going in the wintertime, and keep a teakettle on it, too, with a variety of teas available. Lots of candles, too. It is a pretty large bathroom. I often brew wine and/or beer in there, too.
So, its not so much what I read for fun, but where...
I have a small, half bath, also, So someone can still just "go" while the big bathroom is occupied.

Freakonomics.com has a really good blog. Freakonomics is a best-selling book written by two economists. It talks about interesting and random subjects, and pressing issues. Like what do the KKK and real-estate agents have in common. Whether or not a name determines future success...etc. It's a good read.

I read History. I really enjoy it. You have to be careful though because there's good interesting History and there's bad History (badly written). Related to that, I like to read travellogues, books written by people that go to exotic places. Freya Stark is a good one.
Also that fella Layard who discovered Assyria.
Also like stories about Ships. Naval History is very dramatic.
