I want to start my car without going out into the cold

I'd agree..I've had remote start on my 93 Pontiac GP for 10 years and never had a problem...car still runs great. They're great in winter..no cold car to get into...just make sure you have a strong battery in the car.

no there's no truth to it lots of cars have that feature,all it does it start the car and let it warm up before you get in,so it really cant hurt it ,there's no harm in letting one warm up we all do that in the winter time,its just easier with a remote starter installed on it,and i don't know who told you it would damage the engine but it wont,good luck with it.

I have had electric start for 4 years and my engine is still running strong
