With any kind of birth control there is always the possibility of it not working and the woman becoming pregnant. Such is the risks of sex. If the man does not want to take that risk, all he has to do is not have sex.

As far as an abortion, that is 100% the woman's choice even if the baby is conceived in marriage, out of marriage, by rape or by accident. If she wants to keep the baby that is also her choice.

For her to get child support from the man she must PROVE the man is the father. If he does not admit it and she has no evidence in her possession to show that he MIGHT be the father, she can not force him to do a DNA test to prove paternity. If he just leaves her and has nothing more to do with her, does not show up for the prenatal classes or delivery and does nothing else to show that he has some interest in her pregnancy or child, it will be pretty hard for her to prove he is the father. She can not just demand he do a paternity test without some other evidence showing that it would be justified.

If the man went to the news and made a big stink about it, he has already supplied the additional evidence needed for the paternity test. He screwed her and now he screwed himself.

If we had the Equal Rights Amendment in place, this would not be an issue. As it is now, the man has no choices and most women and the Courts seem to think that's 'fair'. It's obviously not fair but no one seems to care. I'm not in favor of abortion on demand but since its available, the man should have the right to choose as well and if she chooses to go it alone, that's her choice and he should not be required to support it in any way. What's more, he shouldn't have to give up any of his parental rights, not that he should or would exercise them. As it stands now women, through the courts, use the 'parental rights' issue as a threat and emotional bludgeon to extort money.

Sure, then every guy who doesn't want to care for the baby he helped make will just say the condom broke. Just so you know, condoms rarely break, and the odds of it happening at a time when the woman happens to be ovulating make this a very unlikely scenario for producing a pregnancy. If guys don't want to be responsible for kids, they'd better make sure not to make any.

He assumed equal responsiblity when they decided to have sex.
therefore he should have equal right to make decisions on how the baby is to be raised after the baby is born.
The choice to have sex was not made by one party, it was mutual.
That baby is a human being and has the absolute right to be born, once conception has happened, there is new person and whole new DNA created, the baby should not be murdered just becuase it has not had the good fortune to be born yet.
The choice was made, now the participants need to accept responsibility for their actions, whether it be adoption, or raising the child it is time to grow up and accept the consequences of their actions, jointly.

If the man makes a mistake he is responsible to take care of it financially for the next 18 years. If the woman makes a mistake she can "choose" to "snuff" it out and go on with her life, no harm no foul. Seems to me like you pro-choice gals want to have your cake and eat it too. Must be nice to have all that power.

Unfortunately,,yes and No !!, God made woman sinners so she has to decide if she will carry the baby for nine months etc, If he does not want it, and she does If it was a true accident , will then I think she should raise the child her self,
God made sex to reproduce and to have fun in doing it (reproducing) , So I Feel She should take it her self,,
You know there is really no right or wrong here , because your dealing with a human beings life ,,

Maybe both should be responsible since they both had sex no matter what happened, you take that risk ,,
So don"t have sex until you are able to know accidents can happen

No matter what the reason, once a child is born, it is a mans duty to take care of it. Any fool can sire a child but it takes a man to raise it, even if the woman chooses to have the child and he doesn't, that does not negate he's responsibility.

I think that all other things being equal she should listen to him and his view but it is her final decision. Like it or not you take risks when you engage in any behavior no matter how careful you are and as a man in this situation we have to accept that the final choice is simply not ours to make.

As a man, I believe the man has the right to choose. If he wants her to have an abortion and she refuses, then his parental rights should be severed. He should NOT have to pay child support. I think if the woman wants the child, she should be 100% responsible for the child financially. His name should not be on the birth certificate either.

I'd have to agree with Robert... no responsibilities, but no rights EVER.

Although, I can't imagine having a baby and not wanting anything to do with it... People are different though.

"The condom broke"... what a concept...
