and yes I did work at Mcdonalds for 5 years. I also did some time at Taco Bell, so I am very familiar with drive thru's. :)

this is too funny! a loooong time ago, i worked at burger king. i worked the drive thu...i wasn't always in my "right mind". for fun, i used to bring in helium balloons and suck them down and "eeeeeeeeeeee can i take your order????" of course i sounded like minnie mouse and there would be dead silence on the other end. the people would either pull up and order because they were laughing so hard, or try to act like nothing was wrong. when they pulled up, i spoke normally and once in a while, someone would say..."ummmmm did you take my order?" i would always say...ohhh not me...it was my manager, she has a speech impediment. or at other times i would say "can i take your order..." but i would say it so sexy...just like a phone sex operator! then when the guy pulled up...i spoke normal! i was such a doofus in my youth!

Did it once with a childs megaphone and kept turning it off and on. They thought they had problems with their speakers, poor girl even changed headsets 3 tiimes before I stopped doing it.

yes was pissed about how long it was taking to get to the window, and then to see my milkshake that I ordered for daughter sitting in the sun on a hot summer day. I got to the window took it and dropped it and drove off. I did not feel bad for doing that.
