We were thinking about USA as a first choice, if not either canada or australia (have relations living there). USA is top choice though.

Just wondering though if have missed the boat on any of these.

Heres a quick run down of my situation.

I am currently doing teacher trg (PGCE) in the UK, So not sure if i have to finish NQT year here in uk before can move anyway but which ever it is will either be 41 or 42 at one of the two points. Is there a max age to emmigrate to US or any of those countries?

Prior to this i was a mobile telecomms (cell) engineer and did work in USA for a few months with a work visa about wow 6 years ago. My wife has her own beautician business. Obviously as am training to be teacher i have a degree (biological sciences with zoology). Lastly was in Army for 8 years before going into private telecomm sector.

So with a background like that do we have a chance of getting to the USA or even Canada etc!

Obviously we have just started to look into this but any feedback would be appreciated!

The key would be trying to get here on the right visa. Talk to the consulate. But the US is always looking for good teachers (though we might have some trouble with the accent). I was in the US military and worked with many RAF and British Army Liason officers during my career. Always a pleasure!

Love to have you back here!

You have every chance of being granted a US "green card" and visa with a background like that. Check out the link below for more info, how to apply etc.

Wish I could get in that easy *sob*

Why does everyone come over here to the US to live? What is wrong with your own country?
