I just started taking Alesse (the 28 pack)

My doctor instructed me to start taking the pills on the first day of my period, which I did. Now it has been almost two weeks and I STILL have my period! I have 7 pills left before I start the week of placebo pills. It seems like I am just going to bleed straight through to my next period.

Has this happened to anyone else? Should I go back to my doctor or is this just my body adjusting to the new hormones?

I have had the same problem. It is your body adjusting to the new pills. If you are worrier ask the advice nurse what you should do...I know it is messed up bleeding that long but it will get better....Best of Luck....

Call your doctor!

It is possible to take bc packs back-to-back to avoid a period for 3-4 packs' worth. Ask your doctor if you can do that.

change it to a different maker, like the yaz pill. I've heard there's this new pill that's on the market that makes your period 3 days or less. Thank god I'm halfway to menopause. I'm tired of these darn periods!

Good luck

see a doctor.
Your period is nothing to mess with, anything that goes on unnormal down thier for a male or female should be taken seriously.
See your doctor and find out what you should do, and till you see your doctor i reccommend stopping the medication, (birthcontrol) your on.

please help me!!!
