I mean, we are socially required that we should put the seat down EVERY time we pee, but if a woman uses the same toilet she is NEVER required to put it up?

This is the point that my new wife brought up to me when we bought our house. I might start doing it out of curtasy for my wife because I lover her. but .... doesent really seem fare.

wat yall think?

I think anyone who sits down on a toilet without checking to see if the seat down first gets what they deserve. My wife agrees.

It has been and should remain a man's duty to think of his wives comfort before his own. Yes, a woman is capable of picking up a toilet seat, that's not the point. It is about being a man, a man of honor and chivalry. Does a man have to open the door for a woman? No, she can open it herself and does so when a man is not available. A man however should endeavor to treat his wife as a fine vessel, treating her with kindness and caring. She is a treasure to have and to hold. So, when you do your duty, do your duty and reset the seat so she doesn't have to. Besides, if she's doing the cooking I want her hands as clean as possible!

To be courteous is putting the seat down ( I'm sure at one time you require it down, lol).
Perhaps the person who cleans it on a regular basis can stipulate this issue. If your up to take over the bathroom cleaning by all means keep it the way you want but until then keeping it down wins..

It's a simple thing that keeps everyone, most especially the women calm in the house. Just let one fall in ice cold water in the middle of the night and see how much screaming and fit pitching you've caused all because you didn't believe you should have to go through all that work to put the lid down.

Its just one of those things you do that is respectful of the females in your home. Just as they should be respectful of your needs.

Think about: Girls use it 100% of the time down. Men use it 50% of the time down. So between both sexes and peeing/pooping, the seat is down 75% of the time. So it should be left down. HOWEVER, I don't think it is fair that women get so angry with us. It is not like we are doing it just to be jerks!

If its 50/50 a girl lets the guy goes first he is faster then she puts the seat down for herself. And no men are not required. Some men can go with lid down. But if you ssprinkle when you tinkle clean it up and that goes for both sexes.

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and had to pee real bad and fallen in the nasty a*ss toilet because someone didn't put the seat down? THAT is unfair.

You don't have to do another movement. Just pee, flip it down.

Women need to stand up, fix themselves turn around and flip it up. Most of the time we don't have time to even PEE, let alone remember that.

Being a mom, that is sometimes the only place I get privacy.

Do it out of love, and us women who know men do it for that reason, it means alot = )
