How can we check whether the given year is leap year or not ?

Why it is said that we have to divide the given year with 400. why we have to divide with 400 i think simply divide with 4

If the 4-digit year is exactly divisible by 400, it is leap

Otherwise, if it is exactly divisible by 4 and not exactly divisible by 100, it is leap

The year must be divisible by 4,but exclude years ended by 00
as 2,100
