Diane,

I have a feeling that by the end of the 3 days left to answer this question, you will have a major can of worms open! LOL

But be honest! We all play mind games sometimes. How severe they are just depends on the maturity of the person, be it male or female!

If this behavior is really severe, then I would say that they are not men or women, they are boys or girls. If you are too mature for their games than you need to move on to someone who is more mature and doesn't have this problem. Personally, I love it when my man leaves a little mystery about some things. It just depends on what type of mind games he is playing LOL.

But remember that just because one person is like this doesn't mean that everyone is! That is like saying that just because one person has a bad attitude, everyone does!

Best of luck to you!

I think both men and women are equally capable of this and often do this too.

When they do play mind games, the best way to deal with it is not to fall into the trap and react, after all, mind game players only do it to get a reaction in the first place.

Lie back, chill out and let them see that whatever game they are playing with your mind isn't having the desired effect they want, that's when they might wake up,grow up and stop the childish mind games.

Some examples:
They want you to kick off- So don't.
They want you to be jealous and question- So don't.
They go stubborn and wait for you to ring/text first- So don't.
They want you to do the chasing- So don't.

The list is endless, but the above examples are assuming he/she is in the wrong in the first place!

Plain old face to face honesty, respect and trust solves far more than any silly mind games, that's for sure.

Lifes just too short to live like this, and only makes you miserable and upset, and will eventually affect any future relationships you may enter in to,along with your own self esteem.

a) delusional
b) going out with/after the wrong guys
c) all of the above

I've never come across a man capable of playing mind games... not to imply they're stupid, they just don't understand the concept.

Needing that kind of reassurance just seems like a girly thing.

Men that need it are just insecure and that is such an unattractive quality.

The same reason women do. Everyone has played mind games at some time or another and yes its stupid, but we've all done it.

Come on now. Men are too dumb to play mind games --- women are the experts. Actually, you're doing it now.

Quite honestly, I don't think they're smart enough to play mind games. It's women who play mind games.

They can only play games on you if you allow it. A real man has no need to play games, Because he is now secure within himself. A real man will come along in your life be patient.

You attribute men with too much cunning and guile, which is strictly the domain of women. Men just do stuff because it amuses them, or "because they felt like it."

"Mind games" implies some pre-meditated idea which men don't do :P
