USC should have paid for better players this year. I'd be getting some refunds back.

I honestly think Meeshigan is a better team than USC and SC had higher expectations and lost to two High school calibur teams,oh yeah they're overrated too,Michigan needs to kick it into gear too they have the tools just something is off and it's pissing me off,the one team Michigan lost to is going to the National Title game thats Oregon, plus the Pac 10 will never be on the same level as the Big 10 we all know that

Michigan lost the 2 games at the begining of the season, USC lost mid season which hurts them more

Michigan is a better team. And even if they lose to The Ohio State University deserve a Rose Bowl trip (OSU would be in NC game).
The 2 games they lost to a top tier Div1AA (remember 1AA means smaller not worse team), and what has surprisingly turned out to be a very good and probably NC participant in Oregon.
No shame in losing to possible Div1AA playoff team (though shaky this year) and both Div1A NC game participants.

Because USC sucks worse than Michigan sucks! Or, if you are a "glass half full" kinda guy; Because Michigan sucks less than USC. Can we put this one to bed now?

Sorry, but you are trying to find logic in an illogical system. Playoff is the only thing that will solve that question.
But, to actually answer: Becuase Michigan is on an 8 game winning streak and USC has lost recently. It's all based on perception...well mostly.

Both are great teams that had some horrible games. SC should have never lost to Stanford and UM should not have lost to App State. SC has been off all year, but still has the most talented team.

Losses later in the season hurt a team more than early ones, it seems with the BCS polls.

Cause they did what was considered unthinkable...they allowed the Stanford Cardinals to come into THEIR house and win. Never done before. That's why. Hanging's too good for 'em...hehe. Go Trojans.
