By how much intensity of the light that passes through will change if third polarizer is inserted between them at angles 30° to both polarizers.

assuming the incident beam is unpolarised...

i got about 28%

I * 1/2 *cos^2 30 *cos^2 30

sounds about right, but it's been ages since i did that so you might want to check :)

also the wording of the question is odd...
