Probably have sore, achy gums for a few days; your teeth are slowly shifting into their new positions, and your body needs time to compensate. Depending on your pain threshold, you may be able to get by with nothing, with OTC stuff like ibuprofen or aspirin, or if you're very sensitive you can ask your orthodontist about a prescription painkiller.

No you will not & don;t pay any mind to others .. I bet they will find them cool hey they have neat colors now to choce from
your mouth will be sore or your teeth will be for the first couple of days up to about 3 months then it gets use to the tightening & just think how beautiful your smile is gonna be when you get them off good luck
ps I got braces in my 30's...

I know someone who's about 30 yrs old and has braces so don't feel bad.

it doesnt hurt that bad. but the glue from the braces u can feal for a while. just take the pain come on.

no...u r never too old to get some orthodontic work...and the braces will make your mouth/gums sore for a few days after you get them and any time after you get adjustments, but you'll be okay...

no u wont . they will hurt for a while when you first get them and a few days every time you get them adjusted.
