I'll be coming to San Jose / Santa Clara area for a convention. But I also have a few days to relax and explore the area. I want to stay at a hotel conveniently located to attractions & the convention center. Pls help!

There are several in walking distance -- but there are 2 that are within steps of the McEnery Convention Center.

The Marriott ( http://www.resideo.com/us/california/sanjose/33386251.hotel ) is literally next to the convention center (in fact, they are connected).

The Sainte Claire ( http://www.resideo.com/us/california/sanjose/54155963.hotel ) is just across the street -- I stayed there just a few months ago when I was attenting a convention.

Both are within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, etc in the San Jose downtown area.

Hope that helps!

Depends on your budget - San Jose in general and downtown in particular tend to be slightly more expensive than other parts of the country. Plan to spend at least $125-200 a night.

The San Jose Hilton and Towers is adjacent to the San Jose Convention Center; the rooms have all been remodeled with super-comfy mattresses and soft linens. The Mariott is at the other end of the convention center, and very nice as well. The Biltmore and Saint Claire are across the street. This area is the heart of downtown and walking distance to most downtown attractions, like the Tech Museum, Children's Discovery Museum, etc.

Hey there - I was in San Jose for a conference recently and stayed at the Biltmore Hotels & Suites in Silicon Valley. The hotel was conveniently located to the conferences so the commute was a breeze. Also - Biltmore Hotel is located right by fabulous restaurants and nice shopping malls, as well as the theme park Great America. I would highly recommend Biltmore to anyone looking to stay in the San Jose / Santa Clara area. Check them out at: http://www.hotelbiltmore.com
