I have a junk house. It started with a drawer, then a closet got involved, then a quiet room that we don't use much, then some empty corners got filled. Now we just have paths that go around things. It's bad and I need to take a few days off work to deal with it.

Well, lets see.....There are 4 in the kitchen, 2 junk rooms, a garage you can't walk through, let alone park a car in, also an attic and a workshop with no clear counters....OH MY G__D!! I'm out of control! But, it DID take over 4 decades to get to this point...yea, I know, that is no excuse

I used to, I thought it was a precursor for being a grownup.
Then I cleaned it out one day, and was shocked with the laziness of how I had abused it.
I apologised and never did it again.
Now I have a notice board, I cannot let it get out of hand, or I won't fit in the room.
Love your drawers.

Actually, we have three. The one in the kitchen is for those extra tie wraps you get with the trash bags, straws you accumulate from going to fast food restaurants and ordering a drink, the extra sets of chops sticks from the asian restaurants, ceramic glue, and some small tools like wrenches, screw drivers and a couple of hammers, surgical gloves and extra Brita water filters. The one in the laundry room has more small tools (just like the kitchen), some super glue, gardening gloves, extra nuts and bolts, extra screws in various sizes, dog brushes, dog leashes, dog nail clippers and duck tape (something everyone should have on hand...it's the best). The garage has more nuts and bolts, various size screws, small spools of wire, electrical tape, duck tape, and the smaller versions of necessary tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches and such).

I think my life would be more organized if I acutally kept all of my "junk" in a drawer.

I have a drawer that is full of unwanted receipts and another drawer that is full of unfinished medication that did not agree with me. I don't know why I don't throw them both away.
