They are just the right size for school pictures. I have opened them, fastened the pictures on the inside and left it open on the desk. Automatically acts as it's own stand.

A friend of mine covered an Altoids gum tin in polymer clay, baked it and used it as a gift tin. She had also added some polymer clay molded decorations on the the top of the tin, as well. There are a few online tutorials that you can find.

What about a business card holder? To keep it very very simple, try to paint the container a solid color and then put the persons initials on the outside. Very simple and practical!
