I use to laugh at Boston Red sox fans ,Being a hard Met fan and suffering though another long winter ,I dont think I will kid any hard fan any more,,well maybe Cub fans..If there is a baseball god ,, please do not let them sign A-Rod . That would mean I would have suffer though the summer to....

Just of what all three N.Y. papers will say.. god can you just see it ,, We are already treated like step brother to th yanks then we sign a-rod ,, I could not wear my Mets jersey outside with-out yankee fan being in my case ,, I rather lose than face that

yeah but when or if they sign him your a.s.s will be all happy and cheering for him. what made me laugh though is the angles GM...how this guy has a job is beyond me but he says..and i qoute

any team a rod is on he obviously makes them better

haha..oh is that so..lets see if i'm right he only made the playoffs once with them great seattle teams, he never made the playoffs with the rangers and the yanks play in such a weak division they were making the playoffs regardless of him being there or not. they actually WON MORE GAME when he wasn't with them

I’ve been a lifelong Met fan, but ever since the “Aaron effin’ Boone” moment in the 2003 ALCS, I’ve been a Red Sox fan. (I figured if we couldn’t get the Yankers, SOMEbody deserved to!)

Having said that, I truly believe the LAST thing the Mets need at the plate are expensive-as-hell Yanker-leftovers like A-Snob! Simply put, the man does not produce runs well enough in the post-season to be of any help to the Mets. They’ve got more to worry about in regards to pitching to concern themselves with the stress of catering to A-Rod’s demands, whatever they would be.

And with a new stadium to build, the Mets can’t afford any costly mistakes! Remember Kenny Rogers? Armando Benitez? Cliff Floyd? Yeah, I wish I didn't, too!

Just think about what you are saying. Your personal feelings about A-Rod are getting in the way of a sound baseball decision. Do you really believe any team would spend $250+ million on a player if they did not believe he would make a huge contribution to the team? A-Rod is a once in a life time player and any team would be better with him in the line-up.

good don't wear your mets jersey. wear a PHILLIES one, and i will burn the mets one. just kidding lol. the mets aren't gonna sign A-Rod they have an awesome hot 3B named David Wright. they aren't going to turn A-Rod into a SS either because you already have Jose Reyes who all you mets fans think is a god.and A-Rod is not going to play 1st. i got to hand it to you for staying with the mets. and WEAR YOUR METS JERSEY!! be proud of your team even though they had this horrible collapse. i have NEVER BEEN AFRAID to wear my Phillies gear to Shea, and i am 14 and a girl, in NY! sorry can't wish the Mets luck in 08 because i hate them, but you my friend need to stay with them through the thick and thin.

G-mack, don't get your hopes up on A-Rod --- Minaya isn't going to approve of that kind of outlay. Here's a thought. Take that 35 mill a year and by pitching to replace Glavine and Pedro.
